Our client is a growing aftermarket automotive company that specializes in driver safety electronics who are looking to add an Account Manager to their team. As an Account Manager, they will be responsible to grow company sales by calling prospective customers, attending trade shows, and generating new sales from current customers. We are searching for someone with the ability to introduce our products to new markets and convert leads into customers.

The Account Manager must have 3+ years of sales experience

Account Manager Requirements:

  • 3+ years’ experience in a sales role
  • Prior knowledge and experience in automotive aftermarket sales preferred
  • Associates or Bachelor’s Degree preferred
  • Product knowledge in aftermarket 12-volt car audio/electronics preferred
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and Google Docs
  • Ability to communicate effectively through oral and written means
  • Driven and results-oriented
  • Ability to travel domestically up to 50% of the time

Account Manager Description:

  • Build strong relationships with top customer accounts and new prospects
  • Develop strategic approach to address new customers and drive growth
  • Accountable for growing book of business with top customers
  • Lead new customer prospects through company sales process
  • Support inbound customer inquiries through phone and email
  • Work with product launch team to secure pre-orders for approved new products
  • Manage and utilize sales reps in territory to support customer accounts
  • Utilize CRM system and keep customer notes up to date
  • Follow up on all sales opportunities and leads
  • Identify, develop and execute new business in automotive and truck fleet markets
  • Find new markets for company products and identify product opportunities
  • Schedule and conduct new product training and sales webinars for customers, sales reps and company staff
  • Conduct regular monthly overstock and closeout call campaigns
  • Travel to accounts and attend and support trade shows
