ADAS Bracket Product Engineer
Dayton, OH

Summary:

Our client is a worldwide industry leader in custom plastic and rubber extrusion products looking to add an ADAS Bracket Product Engineer to their team. The ADAS Bracket Product Engineer is responsible for the design, development, and transition to manufacturing of window mounted ADAS (Advanced Drive Assistance System) camera and sensor brackets.

The ADAS Bracket Product Engineer must have two years of experience designing or managing the program of the specific Farm System ADAS Bracket OR with Plastic injection/insert molding, steal spring, plastic clips, tinsel strength, heat dispersion, or electronic component packaging

ADAS Bracket Product Engineer Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s or advanced degree in engineering or a related major scientific discipline from an accredited college or university; and/or an equivalent combination of relevant education, training and/or experience
  • An intimate knowledge and prior experience working with ADAS systems in their entirety and how the final product works and is calibrated including but not limited to: knowledge of materials, material selection, tolerance requirements, design criteria, failure modes and solutions, quality, product verification, bracket bonding methods, clips, heating pads and all other aspects of the ADAS product
  • Extensive experience in project management
  • Proficient in 2D and 3D computer aided design and drafting (CADD) utilizing various modeling software tools (i.e. Inventor, SolidWorks, AutoCAD)
  • Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communications skills including the ability to listen attentively and to communicate information clearly and effectively
  • Experience and demonstrated skills/knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel and Outlook) ERP Systems (IQMS a plus), and accurate data entry
  • A demonstrated ability to work independently or as part of a team to complete projects within required time frames

ADAS Bracket Product Engineer Description:

  • Responsible for the design, development, and transition to manufacturing of window mounted ADAS (Advanced Drive Assistance System) camera and sensor brackets
  • Requires an in depth knowledge of ADAS brackets used in automotive window applications including bracket design, application, and testing
  • Develops processes by designing and/or performing application testing, data analysis, preparation of reports, and providing recommendations
  • Analyzes, designs, develops solutions to engineering challenges associated with ADAS brackets
  • Responsible for the delivery of engineering documents, conduct engineering reviews and designs including tolling, material selection and process development
  • Provides advanced level ADAS bracket design and development troubleshooting support and data analysis
  • Identifies areas for improvement and participates in or leads continuous improvement activities to reduce variability and improve production efficiencies
  • Designs new parts, as well as reverse engineers existing products for manufacture
  • Preparation and validation of engineering and customer product samples
  • Leads multiple capital projects in the area of ADAS bracket product engineering
  • Provides leadership and collaboration within a cross functional team during the execution of projects
  • Establishes material and machinery standards for processes and products
  • The ability to determine the best machines available and recommend the best formulas of materials and mixtures (include the use of regrind) to provide quality and cost-effective ways of producing goods
  • Implement technical solutions including statistical methodology to meet customer cost, quality, and delivery expectations
