Summary:

Our client is a global leader in protection and routing solutions who is looking to add an experienced and enthusiastic Business Development Manager. The Business Development Manager will maintain and develop further opportunities within their assigned customer base and develop new strategic accounts within the wiring harness, hose, and tube industry. They will also pursue and develop opportunities within new industries to support growth.

The Business Development Manager must have at least 3 years of experience selling wire harnesses or hose tubes.

Business Development Manager Requirements:

  • Bachelor or associate degree in business preferred – Management, Marketing, or Communications
  • Minimum 3 – 5 years of experience in Automotive or Industrial Sales, Inside Sales, customer service, or Product Management within a manufacturing-based company
  • Strong knowledge of OEMs and various tier customers within the Wiring Harness and/or Hose Tube marketplace
  • Experience working within an international company a benefit but not required
  • Ability to speak Spanish or French a benefit but not required
  • Strong proficiency in Google Applications required (Gmail, calendar, sheets, docs, slides, APPS + Microsoft Applications beneficial (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)

Business Development Manager Description:

  • Develop strategies with assigned or target accounts to maintain existing market share and/or introduce new products from within client’s wide product portfolio
  • Demonstrate consistently the ability to manage & track key opportunities within assigned account base and be able to share with management on regular basis success or roadblocks in closing those opportunities
  • Track sales numbers by customer vs. budget vs. previous year’s sales and consistently be able to communicate effectively the variances
  • Prepare budget for assigned customer base each year utilizing market date, customer information, program SOP dates, program EOP dates, and won or lost business
  • Demonstrate consistently excellent written and oral communication
  • Preparation of Key Customer Meeting Reports
  • Key Opportunities and Customer Sales vs. Budget on monthly basis
  • Customer presentations and creating a presentation specific to audience information is being presented to; prepare accurate business launch presentations
  • Facilitate internal and external meetings
  • Contract and/or pricing negotiations within assigned or targeted account base
  • Ability to travel as needed, requested, or at short notice regionally and/or globally to support customer relationships and/or meetings
  • Continuously develop technical and application knowledge of Client’s product portfolio
  • Compliant with all Quality Management System policies and procedures
  • Consistently respect and follow departmental and/or NCSA processes and procedures
  • Support and “team working environment with all co-workers
  • Assist in training new co-workers or support the mentoring of existing co-workers as requested by management
  • Support Finance Group in assisting in the recovery of past dues when necessary
