CAD Engineer
Superior Charter Township, MI

Summary:

Our client is one the largest OEMs in the world and is looking to add a CAD Engineer. As part of the team the CAD Designer will be responsible for designing and developing concepts for interior trim parts such as hard trims, soft trims, headliner, instrument panel and floor console to support vehicle development program.

The CAD Engineer must have a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.

CAD Engineer Requirements:

  • Bachelor of Science in mechanical or electrical engineering
  • Valid driver’s licenses and satisfactory driving record
  • Able to work in a culturally diverse team environment
  • CATIA V5 design experience is a plus but not required
  • Office software knowledge: MS Office (including PowerPoint and Excel)

CAD Engineer Description:

  • Apply engineering principles for part design, manufacturing processes (injection molding, compression molding, etc) and assembly processes
  • Participate in benchmarking activities for trends, support vehicle teardown activities to analyze components and report findings
  • Utilize CATIA V5 and other engineering tools to create and modify 3D data and 2D drawings
  • Create and present technical reports to communicate project status and results to cross functional teams and management
