Job Description

Position: Chassis Calibration Technician
Location: Superior Charter Twp., MI 


Our client is a leading OEM within the automotive industry and is looking to add an experienced and professional Chassis Calibration Technician to their team. The Chassis Calibration Technician’s first responsibility is to perform and document all preventive maintenance and equipment calibration and repair on all equipment utilized in the VEL.

Chassis Calibration Technician requires one year of calibration experience

Chassis Calibration Technician Requirements:

  • Knowledge of ISO-17025 processes and requirements
  • Knowledge of Horiba Analytical and Burke Porter systems
  • Associates degree in electronics preferred but relevant experience will be considered
  • Must be able to read, understand, prepare, and modify blueprints and/or schematics of electrical and electronic systems.
  • Familiar with MS Office applications
  • Strong diagnostic skills – ability to learn and understand new concepts and applications
  • Strong attention to detail skills – follows policies, procedures, and safety measures when using various equipment

Chassis Calibration Technician Description:

  • Performs all required calibrations and related documentation of critical and non-critical equipment and instruments in the VEL
  • Support management of all reference standards and portable measurement equipment calibrations (outsourced)
  • Perform electronic, pneumatic, temperature, analytical, and flow measuring/ controlling equipment calibrations according to related procedures.
  • Perform analytical bench, CVS Flow, and related equipment calibration and maintenance and thoroughly prepares and completes calibration related documentation following all related procedures
  • Performs corrective and preventive maintenance to electric and electronic equipment controls and machinery. Also evaluate if preventive maintenance is adequate for equipment recommending continuous improvement
  • Keeps spare part inventory levels at appropriate levels to support all chassis test cells and all attendant support devices
  • Follow instrumentation room equipment check-in / check-out process
  • Perform light mechanical work
  • Perform general maintenance and housekeeping of chassis test cells and work area
