Chassis Dyno Technician

Our client is a leading OEM within the automotive industry and is looking to add an experienced and professional Chassis Dyno Technician to their team. They are looking for someone with strong experience in vehicle emissions testing.

Chassis Dyno Technician must have at least two years of chassis dynamometer testing experience

Chassis Dyno Technician Requirements:

  • Knowledge of emission testing procedures and regulations
  • 2+ years of experience in automotive mechanics
  • Familiar with MS Office applications
  • Valid driver’s license with satisfactory driving record
  • Strong diagnostic skills – ability to learn and understand new concepts and applications
  • Strong attention to detail skills – follows policies, procedures, and safety measures when using various equipment
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills

Chassis Dyno Technician Description:

  • Prepare vehicles for testing (fuel drain and fill, can loading, instrumentation, etc.)
  • Perform various vehicle emission tests on a chassis dyno (test setup and driving)
  • Perform evaporative vehicle emissions tests in a SHED (hot soak, diurnal, and ORVR)
  • Complete necessary test documentation paperwork
  • Perform light mechanical work
  • Perform general maintenance and housekeeping of chassis test cells and work area
