The Customer Support Specialist is an essential part of the Hire Road organization. The Customer Support Specialist will serve as the primary point of contact for Hire Road contract employees, clients and vendors and is responsible for ensuring our customers’ needs including that contract employees, clients, and sales team members receive superior human resource, payroll, and benefits support.

The Customer Support Specialist must have at least two (2) years of HR, customer service, OR accounting related experience

Customer Support Specialist Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree (Preferred)
  • Previous HR/Customer Service Experience including exposure to payroll supplier and basic accounting software
  • Previous experience of client service/account management experience
  • Detailed-oriented with strong project management and prioritization skills independently, with accuracy and attention to detail
  • Excels at utilizing individual judgment, training team members on corporate processes, and ensuring outstanding customer service goals are met
  • Motivated, personable, and organized with excellent verbal and written communication skill
  • Preferred experience using Microsoft Office, Paycor, QuickBooks and various Vendor Management Systems

Customer Support Specialist Description:

  • Customer Support Specialist will serve as the primary point of contact for Hire Road contract employees, clients and vendors and is responsible for ensuring our customers including, but not limited to contract employees, clients and sales teams receive superior human resource, payroll and benefits support
  • The CSS is also the primary liaison regarding all accounting related issues
  • Collect payroll hours from various time reporting methods and complete payroll process for internal and contract employees on a bi-weekly basis (multi-state payroll) using Paycor including reconciliation of employee expenses.
  • Facilitate all Direct Deposit/Pay Card Administration
  • Maintain employee files in compliance with all state and federal laws
  • Responsible for custom weekly and monthly reports
  • Complete onboarding and offboarding procedures for internal and external employees
  • Order pre-employment background checks and drug screenings, conduct employee investigations when needed and manage workers compensation process for multi-state employees
  • Manage 401K/benefits administration and verify deposits have been made 
  • Create and distribute invoices per customer requirement and facilitate ACH / Electronic customer payment process
  • Manage Accounts Receivable / Accounts Payable and complete all journal entries using QuickBooks
  • Facilitate all Bank Deposits, monthly bank and credit card reconciliations
  • Produce weekly, monthly and quarterly reports via QuickBooks
  • Manage Office Supply Administration and all Company supplier relationships; IT, Cintas, Staples, Corrigan, Etc.
  • Prepare financial and tax documentation as directed by CPA
  • Produce weekly, monthly, quarterly recruiter and sales Activity reports
  • Monitor website and other sales channels for customer and contractor communication
  • Develop, monitor and manage social media strategy for company
  • Plan and execute customer interaction seminars and meetings (CHRO Summit, Etc.)
  • Plan and execute company incentive trip and execute company internal outings and events
