Our client is an established non-profit organization who is looking to add an experienced and motivated Director of Information Technology. The Director of Information Technology will develop and implement strategy for the organization for its information systems and technology infrastructure. They will plan for ongoing viability, stability and security of the IT infrastructure so that the organization maintains business continuity with up to date hardware and software programs and related internal hardware.

The Director of Information Technology must have at least 10 years of experience in an IT role and expertise in networks and security.

Director of Information Technology Requirements:

  • A bachelors’ Degree in computer science, business, finance or a related field
  • Masters’ Degree (preferred)
  • Proven leadership and hands-on experience in each of the following areas:
    • Leadership and effective management and supervision of technical employees.
    • Experience managing the delivery of technical services including network administration, cybersecurity, helpdesk, application/database administration, web administration, systems administration, and telecommunications in a mission-critical, multi-platform environment.
    • Production control, change management, configuration management experience
    • Superior project management skills
    • Significant Information security management experience
  • Significant knowledge and experience with the following platforms:
    • LAN administration
    • Microsoft Windows Server with VMware
    • Office 365 and SharePoint
    • Microsoft SQL database
    • Web Content Management System
    • Point of Sales (Galaxy)
  • Excellent written, verbal, analytical, computing and organizational skills
  • Must be creative, personable, detail-oriented, motivated and able to work independently as well as meet deadlines

Director of Information Technology Description:

  • Recommends and implements information technology solutions to support and meet organizational objectives based on current best practices
  • Directs and manages the implementation and execution of new/upgraded network and information systems via well-defined plans and procedures, ensuring that deadlines are met and accountability is maintained
  • Evaluates and implements IT policies, procedures, and equipment for maximum efficiency and cost containment
  • Ensures that users/customers are provided with professional, courteous, and timely and effective support and service
  • Structures, leads, trains, and develops IT staff for maximum effectiveness
  • Stays abreast of trends, regulations and best practices to ensure effectiveness and compliance
  • Create and monitor annual IT and project budgets
  • Develops/selects and conducts/coordinates user training on an as-needed basis
  • Hires, trains, supervises and evaluates information technology staff
  • Establish and maintain relationships with all key internal department heads to help meet and exceed their functional Information technology needs
  • Annually review and maintain service contracts on all equipment
  • Hire/manage external vendors to provide augmented support of the internal IT infrastructure as needed
  • Annually, maintain PCI compliance
  • Performs other related duties as assigned
