Summary:

Meadowbrook Country Club is a private club established in 1916, designed by Willie Park Jr. Located in Northville, Michigan, Meadowbrook CC hosted the 1955 PGA won by Bob Ford. MCC has also hosted numerous Michigan PGA events along with the Golf Association of Michigan. The Golf Services Manager is responsible for how golf is facilitated and experienced at Meadowbrook.

The Golf Services Manager must have at three years of private club experience while running a large and successful caddie program

Golf Services Manager Requirements:

  • 3-5 years of private club experience in golf operations.
  • Experience running large caddie program, including hiring and training.
  • Able to manage 23k rounds of golf including Club Tournaments and Monday Outings
  • Ability to multi-task and communicate at every level. Email, phone, texts (with staff and members)
  • Proven leadership ability in golf industry with proven track record. Engaging and energetic personality

Golf Services Manager Description:

Golf Operations

  • Enforce club rules regarding play. Suggest changes in rules that will benefit the majority of Meadowbrook members
  • Register all golfers to ensure accurate statement billing and play count.
  • Formulate golf budget for board approval and keep operating costs within the budget once it has been established.
  • Responsible for hiring and training Golf Staff and educating all employees on all areas of golf operations.
  • Accommodate members request for tee-times while ensuring an orderly flow on golf course.
  • Organize, set-up and facilitate of club tournaments and corporate outings.
  • Coordinate all golf activities for Monday golf outings.

Caddie Program

  • Hire, train, schedule and supervise first tee staff employees and caddies.
  • Responsible for all driving range, practice facility and bag room operations, including setup, daily care.
  • Maintain accurate caddie loop records for billing accuracy and promotions and demotions.
  • Responsible for payroll for 306 caddies
  • Provide and maintain guidelines that ensure a successful caddie program. Examples include the continued development of caddie manual and continued improvement of caddie appearance and overall quality of the program.

Golf Cart Maintenance

  • Maintain fleet of 81 leased golf carts while working at or under maintenance budget.
  • Keep cart and maintenance records on all carts.
  • Responsible for all winter cart maintenance, which limits the summer cart breakdowns.

Building Maintenance

  • Maintain 1st Tee Facility including all preventative maintenance; light bulbs, facilities, cleanliness
