HR Manager

Shelby Township, MI


Our client is a rapidly growing automotive plastics manufacturing company who is looking to add an experienced and professional HR Manager to their team. The HR Manager will be responsible for all facets of HR and have the chance to create and implement new processes and procedures on a company wide scale.

HR Manager must have 5+ years of HR experience at a senior or managerial level

HR Manager Requirements:

  • 5+ years’ experience in HR supervisor position (all facets including recruiting, training/development, employee relations, on-boarding/off-boarding, payroll, benefits, 401K)
  • Bachelor Degree in Human Resources or related business field; 5+ experience in HR field in lieu of degree
  • Advanced knowledge of company programs (benefits, payroll, compensation, workers compensation and human resource programs)
  • Advanced knowledge of human resources laws and regulations
  • Strong issue and conflict resolution skills; Strong problem-solving skills
  • Analysis, critical thinking and investigation skills
  • Work independently and interact with all levels of employees (production and management)
  • Self-starter that is adept at taking initiative

HR Manager Description:

  • Develops implements, manages and administers policies and programs related to employment, employee relations, wage and salary administration, training, orientation, safety, health and benefits effectively and in accordance with company policy and governmental regulations
  • Communicates and works with corporate HR specialists on specific questions, problems or policy interpretation
  • Analyzes wage and salary reports and data to determine competitive compensation plan
  • Writes directives advising department managers of Company policy regarding equal employment opportunities, compensation, and employee benefits
  • Consults legal counsel to ensure that policies comply with federal and state law
  • Develops and maintains a human resources system that meets top management information needs
  • Writes and delivers presentations to corporate officers regarding human resources policies and practices
  • Recruits, interviews, tests, and selects employees to fill vacant positions
  • Administers performance review program to ensure effectiveness, compliance, and equity within organization
  • Contracts with outside suppliers to provide employee services, such as temporary employees, search firms, or relocation services
