HVAC/Plumbing Assistant

Our client is a go-to full-service solution for interior and exterior facility operations, maintenance, and repair who is looking to add a professional HVAC/Plumbing Assistant to their team. The HVAC/Plumbing Assistant will provide assistance and have the ability to perform assignments independently related to picking up, delivering parts, tools and equipment to job sites and technicians as they engage in installation, trouble shooting, repair, alteration and maintenance of facility systems.

The HVAC/Plumbing Assistant must have a Chauffeur's Driver’s license.

HVAC/Plumbing Assistant Requirements:

  • Must possess a valid Chauffeur's driver’s license.
  • Previous experience is desired.
  • Must have and maintain a good driving record.
  • Must be able to pass periodic drug testing.
  • Must be able to pass periodic driving background check.
  • Must sign and abide by company vehicle use agreement.
  • Must be able to use a personal computer and handheld communication device.
  • Must be a professional with strong organizational, communication, planning and interpersonal skills.
  • Physical requirements include climbing, stooping and frequently lifting 50 lbs. or more.  Ability to safely install and operate rigging and lifting devices.

HVAC/Plumbing Assistant Description:

  • Will pick-up and deliver parts, tools and equipment to job sites and team members.
  • Assist team members with the loading and unloading of parts, materials, tools and equipment needed for assigned jobs. Will occasionally work independently. 
  • May occasionally assist team members in the performance of technical service jobs as instructed by supervisor.
  • Will prepare part orders for delivery. May occasionally be asked to compile parts, tools and material orders for delivery.
  • Will order needed equipment and materials for assigned jobs.
  • Will keep track of tool inventory. Will be responsible for tool repairs and maintenance.
  • Will be responsible for keeping tool crib organized.
  • May occasionally need to coordinate and/or help facilitate fleet vehicle repairs.
  • Fill out daily vehicle logs and perform visual inspections of assigned vehicle.
  • Will perform visual inspections of tools prior to delivery to ensure normal operation.
  • Will be responsible for keeping assigned, GPS equipped vehicle, clean and in good working order.
  • Report daily activities via web-based CMMS work order tracking system.
  • Be courteous, neat, clean and in proper uniform; always representing the company in a professional, moral and ethical manner.
  • Establish and maintain effective working relationships with customers, co-workers and suppliers.
  • Available for after-hours scheduled and for emergency maintenance and repair delivery calls.
