Our client is a leading supply chain management solutions company who is looking to add an experienced and professional Industrial Engineer to their team. As an Industrial Engineer, they will assist in determining the most cost effective methods to warehouse, package and distribute automotive services parts in multiple facilities.

The Industrial Engineer must have a Bachelor's in Industrial Engineering

Industrial Engineer Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, industrial engineering, or logistics/supply chain
  • Six months of practical experience in warehouse planning or general logistics consulting preferred
  • Strong analytical and conceptual skills
  • Ability to work and communicate in a project team
  • Profound knowledge in the field of warehouse planning
  • Sound knowledge of lean principles
  • Proficient in MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Independent, proactive and responsible way of work
  • Highly goal-oriented
  • High analytical competencies
  • Confident appearance, excellent interpersonal skills
  • Non-smoker (must pass pre-employment drug screen for nicotine)

Industrial Engineer Description:

  • Assist in determining the most cost effective methods to warehouse, package and distribute automotive services parts in multiple facilities
  • Improve existing processes in order to reduce cost, improve sustainability and maximize profitability
  • Work with an experienced team of industrial engineers and consultants to develop innovative solutions for our warehouse facilities
  • You will take on challenges such as optimizing of warehouse material flows and storage concepts as well as redesigning of warehouse layouts and introducing new logistic systems
  • Your work will go beyond just developing concepts; you will also implement the solutions by working directly with our operations on site
  • Working directly with consultants in the redesign and organization of plant layout and could potentially be a part of an ERP implementation
  • Will potentially cycle between all plants
  • Perform time studies and develop labor rates
  • Establish and document standardize work methods and standards
  • Optimize ergonomically efficient plant layout and in-plant material flow
  • Continuous improvement and problem solving activities
  • Warehouse design and improve space utilization
  • Conduct capacity analyses and layout / material flow analyses
