Shelby Township, MI

Summary:
Our client is a leading manufacturer of injection molded parts & components for the automotive industry. They are looking for a Sales Representative to support their operation in Shelby Township, MI with new customer growth opportunities. Their focus will be on Tier 2 and Tier 3 automotive and non-automotive accounts. The Business Development Manager must have a proven track record of business growth in the molded product industry.

Business Development Manager must have 5+ years of sales experience in the plastic injection industry selling to Automotive and Non-Automotive Clients.

Business Development Manager Requirements:

  • Minimum of 5 years of sales experience
  • Familiarity with IQMS / Epicor a plus
  • High Achiever – Ambitious – Focused/Methodical – Organized – Forward thinking and proactive
  • Able to establish strong working relationships and able to persuade/influence others
  • Demonstrated success in sales and well-developed business acumen
  • Relationship selling/consultative sales/business development experience

Business Development Manager Description:

  • Meet and exceed territorial sales goals on a monthly and quarterly basis through developing and expanding new business acquisition
  • Handles Request for cost estimating/Quoting (internal) and is responsible for communicating customer specifications and requirements to engineering / estimators.
  • Develop growth strategy 3 - 5 year plan – more immediate as required
  • Meet with sales reps to review performance/progress and targets
  • Maintain understanding of customer needs
  • Serves as customer advocate driving improvements in service levels, as needed
  • Provides and monitors the metrics for on-time delivery, order fulfillment and cycle time
  • Supports continuous improvement efforts, as required
  • Conduct product line pricing and profitability analysis
  • Coordinate with resources in the plant to bring engineering changes and new projects on-line
  • Prepare and coordinate periodic sales forecast activities.
  • Identify emerging markets and market shifts
