Lead CATIA Designer
Ypsilanti, MI


Our client is a global manufacturer of automobiles and is seeking an experienced and professional Lead CATIA Designer. Their current opening is within their Interior and Exterior trim group, and this individual will be responsible for leading designs and presentations on a new vehicle program.

Lead CATIA Designer must have 5+ years of CATIA V5 experience and an Associate’s Degree (or higher education); special consideration given to individuals with truck bed design experience using CATIA

Lead CATIA Designer Requirements:

  • Extensive CATIA V5 design experience (5+ years)
  • Office software: MS Office like PowerPoint, Excel

Lead CATIA Designer Responsibilities:

  • Extensive use of CATIA V5 tools to create and modify 3D data and 2D drawings
  • Investigate studio design concepts to address feasibility, master section, and build and quality issues or to improve the cost and weight
  • Support & interface with engineers to resolve packaging, assembly, manufacturing & design
  • Undertake R7D activities related to exterior and interior trim design applications including benchmarking analysis
  • Candidate should have a base understanding of geometric dimensioning & tolerances and be familiar with MS Office applications to prepare reports, spreadsheets as necessary to support projects
  • Provide technical support as required
