Our client is a leading materials and supply chain services supplier to manufacturing companies throughout North America. They are looking to add an experienced and professional Payroll Analyst to their team. The Payroll Analyst will be responsible for the timely and accurate delivery of payroll for US and Canada payroll through auditing procedures, troubleshooting and resolving identified issues and ultimately helping gain administrative efficiencies and increase productivity.

The Payroll Analyst will have an extensive knowledge of SAP Payroll with at least five (5) years SAP HCM experience

Payroll Analyst Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • 5+ years of payroll processing experience
  • Experience working with SAP (preferably SAP HCM)
  • Strong Excel knowledge
  • Ability to problem solve/critical thinker
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to explain complex subjects in simple terms
  • Proactive to problem solving
  • Must possess the ability to work independently, with accuracy and attention to detail
  • Requires working under a multitude of deadlines

Payroll Analyst Description:

  • Process weekly, bi-weekly and monthly payroll in house using SAP payroll for approximately 4,500 US and Canadian employees
  • Maintain up to date knowledge of payroll rules/regulation changes
  • Create and maintain regular audit schedules for payroll balancing on a weekly, semi-monthly, quarterly and annual basis
  • Perform random periodic audits on Payroll PSID’s for payroll, tax, deductions and HR changes into the payroll system
  • Manage RRSP (Canadian)/401k(US) and reporting the monies to the plan provider
  • Manage requests for information coming into payroll department and schedule/assign recurring tasks
  • Prepare reports, and gather payroll data as needed for senior management and to include in financial statements
  • Document and update procedures
  • Provide customer service for management and employees as it relates to various payroll issues
  • Assist HR Process Manager in all system upgrades
  • Test and verify accuracy of system enhancements/improvements
  • Manage Quarterly and Yearly balancing of employee checks to ensure proper T4’s and W2’s are produced
