Pharmaceutical Sales
Wixom, MI

Summary:
Our client is an entrepreneurial start up that has experienced tremendous growth in the Pharmaceutical Industry that is looking to add a professional Account Manager to their team. As an Account Manager, they will be responsible for promoting products through effective interaction with hospitals and doctors’ offices for generic drug purchasing.

The Account Manager must have one (1) year of experience in a sales role interacting with and selling to hospitals and doctors’ offices. 

Account Manager Requirements:

  • Undergraduate degree from a recognized educational institution is preferred
  • 1-3 years of hospital sales experience is preferred
  • Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office Suite programs including PowerPoint, Word, and Outlook
  • Some experience in marketing, sales, finance, project management, and/or operations is a plus
  • Ability to successfully manage multiple projects and priorities in a timely fashion
  • High on personal accountability and responsibility
  • Good judgment and strong sense of appropriateness  
  • Considers the consequences of personal actions and decisions
  • Reflects upon and learns from experience
  • Proven communication skills, both written and oral, and the ability to present data in a frank and straight forward manner to a variety of audiences
  • Excellent interpersonal, partnering and teambuilding skills in order to facilitate the building of relationships
  • Ability to take action and complete assignments with limited supervision in a fast-paced, changing work environment
  • Ability to represent the company in a professional and positive manner
  • High ethical standards, including maintenance of confidentiality
  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills

Account Manager Description:

  • Maintain business with customers across all classes of trade including national retail chains, wholesalers, distributors, independent pharmacies, mail order and GPOs under the direction of senior management
  • Perform business analysis with clear recommendations
  • Communicate with customers clearly and concisely
  • Compile marketing plans and coordinate product launches
  • Work on bids for RFPs, new products and opportunities
  • Provide responsive customer service to all third parties
  • Learn the pharmaceutical industry through internal and external training, periodicals, research reports, and engagement with company principals
