Process Engineer

Rochester Hills, MI

Summary:

Our client is a leader in the foam products industry who is looking to add an experienced and independent Process Engineer. The Process Engineer will ensure all production safety policies, develop continuous improvement projects, and set expectations for establishing a world-class production facility.

The Process Engineer must have two years’ experience in an automotive manufacturing role.

Job Title Requirements:

  • Highly motivated individual that can lead the production group
  • Strong problem-solving abilities (DOE, Practical Problem Solving)
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Thorough understanding of Lean Manufacturing Processes (5S, Visual Management, Kanban, TPM)
  • Experienced with Automotive quality system expectations (TS 16949, PPAP, FMEA, Control Plan)
  • Solid computer skills (Microsoft Word, Excel, Project, Outlook, etc.)
  • Strong understanding of foam production processes (Not required but a plus)
  • Understanding of tooling development for foam manufacturing (Not required but a plus)
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Industrial, Mechanical, or Chemical Engineering (Graduate degree is a plus)
  • Molded Polyurethane Processing Experience desired
  • Green or Black Belt Certified (a plus)
