Product Quality Specialist Supervisor

Howell, MI

Summary:

Our client is a leading sales and design company providing keysets and door handle parts to various customers across the Americas company who is looking to add an experienced and professional Product Quality Specialist Supervisor to their team. As a Product Quality Specialist Supervisor, this person will be the primary quality contact for United States customer or supplier complaints, questions and warranty issues.

The Product Quality Specialist Supervisor must have prior IATF audit experience.

Product Quality Specialist Supervisor Requirements:

  • Requires a combination quality related education and experience
  • Familiarity with Quality Principles and Applications – (TS, APQP, PPAP, SPC, Root Cause Analysis, Auditing, Metrology)
  • Understands basic data reporting requirements
  • Preferred familiarity with computer-based WEB portals such as GM, Nissan and Subaru supplier programs
  • Preferred working experience with Nissan and Honda quality systems
  • Ability to communicate effectively
  • Self-motivated and persistent
  • Good customer relation’s skills
  • Must be flexible and able to handle change     

Product Quality Specialist Supervisor Description:

  • Responsible for tracking, developing, collecting, and submitting customer or supplier required documentation and responses
  • Responsible to coordinate and preform internal audits as well as organizing and supporting third party IATF-16949 audits for US support functions design, sales and logistics
  • Responsible for receiving customer complaints or concerns and initiating the appropriate steps for internal and external resolution
  • Responsible for supervising the quality members
  • Responsible for reporting quality activities, budget, quality related objectives and progress to the upper management
  • Communicate, coordinate and assist contracted quality reps located at customer plants for appropriate customer responses
  • Visit or meet customers and suppliers when required to maintain good relationships, review policies or problem resolution
  • Provide assistance to customers and suppliers to resolve quality problems/issues
