Our client is looking to add a Quality Assurance Technician to their team to be responsible for maintaining quality standards by approving incoming purchased product from external suppliers per appropriate QC Process Chart, performs/schedules/maintains the calibration/verification of all gaging, manages and maintains all Non-Conforming Product, and records/analyzes quality results.

The Quality Assurance Technician must have a mechanical inspection/quality background.

Quality Assurance Technician Description:

  • Inspect all external purchased product as designated per the QC Process Control Chart
  • Create QC Process Charts per Suppliers/EXD provided drawing when necessary
  • Work with Suppliers on Corrective Actions when product is found Non-Conforming
  • Validate current inventory to ensure product is Conforming when a Non-Conformance is found
  • Perform dimensional layout on product
  • Work with Supplier on any Non-Conformances that may be found during the FPI
  • Schedule all necessary outside vendors for gage calibration
  • Maintain Calibration Module of the IMS Xpress Management Software
  • Determines and orders new/replacement gages from approved Vendor with QA Manager Approval
  • Work with Suppliers and Purchasing when Non-Conforming Product needs to be returned
  • Monthly report to QA Manager and VP of Finance on Non-Conforming Product is dispositioned as Scrap (BOD Requirement)
  • Work with Purchasing to order product for components missing a kit
  • Respond to telephone or email message customer concerns within the first 24 hours of receipt
  • Use Customer provided information to create RGA in the Customer-Supplier management log
  • Research the customer complaint and save objective evidence in the correct RGA Folder
  • Issue credit, invoice, or irregular shipment as necessary to fulfill and complete RGA
  • Actively participate in companywide QCC Activities
  • Perform as an Internal Auditor for the Quality Management System
