Software Engineer - Automated Test Systems
Farmington Hills, MI
 

Summary:

Our client is a growing company who is looking to add an experienced and professional Software Engineer to the team. The Software Engineer will be responsible for collaborating with team and customers to handle projects from specification though the installation phase, providing both on and offsite customer support

Software Engineer must have 3+ years of experience and experience with C++

Software Engineer Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in an engineering discipline (BSEE, BSME, etc.) or Computer Science
  • Strong skill set in C++, with MFC and .NET. Visual Studio 2013 or higher; experience using these technologies in a professional setting
  • 3-10 years’ experience
  • Ability to work independently or within a team
  • Good communication skills
  • Basic system troubleshooting
  • Experience with data acquisition and control hardware (Gantner, Opto22, etc.) is preferable

Software Engineer Description:

  • Most projects are multithreaded real-time physical computing; interfacing with data acquisition and control hardware, specialized equipment (e.g. flowmeters, smoke meters, ECM’s, data plate stampers), and other plant systems
  • Handles project from specification through installation phase, with subsequent customer support as requested
  • Collaborate with team members and customers to develop project specifications and quotations, for reliable, cost-effective solutions
  • Develop software in C++, with MFC and .NET, using Microsoft Visual Studio
  • Communicate directly with customers
