Senior Architectural Project Manager
Farmington Hills, MI

Our client is an interior architectural firm looking to add a Senior Architectural Project Manager to the team in the Farmington Hills, MI Office. As part of this team the Senior Architectural Project Manager will be responsible for the management of client accounts, project team, and project coordination. 

Senior Interior Project Manager must have Degree in architecture and prior architecture project management experience

Senior Architecture Project Manager Requirements:

  • Bachelors or Masters in Architecture from an accredited college/university
  • 10+ years of related architectural experience with a focus on construction documentation desired
  • Registration optional; eligibility for registration required
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD required; SketchUp and Adobe Creative Suite/Creative Cloud experience is a plus
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong organizational and project management skills
  • Proven ability to meet deadlines
  • Motivated team player with team attitude
  • Solid understanding of materials, construction processes, and detailing
  • Advanced knowledge of project design process, construction documentation and administration
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Ability to take direction and lead with minimal supervision

Senior Architecture Project Manager Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for management of client accounts, project team, and project coordination
  • Responsible for review and oversight of all projects within the assigned account(s)
  • Responsible for management of individual projects, including, but not limited to, field measuring existing conditions, generating as-built floor plans, space plans, design/build and/or fully-engineered construction documents and construction administration
  • Responsible for project profitability by providing leadership in effective time management skills, and responsible allocation/monitoring of resources and project scope
  • Responsible for scheduling, operations, and administration issues as required
  • Responsible to provide leadership and training for junior and support staff
  • Coordinate assigned jobs and collaborate with other disciplines
  • Establish and maintain the project budget and schedule
  • Initiate internal plan reviews/comments, Owner/Client design approvals, and coordinate municipal permit process and other approvals
  • Research and apply knowledge of state and local codes, ordinances and regulations
  • Coordinate design and construction changes and approvals throughout the project process
