Telematics Validation Engineer (Entry Level) 
Superior Township, MI


Our client is a leader in the automotive industry who is looking to add an entry level Telematics Validation Engineer. The Telematics Validation Engineer will assist with the development of a North America telematics system by leading the connected car system validation efforts. 

The Telematics Validation Engineer must possess a Bachelor Degree in Electrical Engineering or another related field.

Telematics Validation Engineer Requirements:

  • Engineering degree, computer science, physics, mathematics background or equivalent
  • Communication skill, self-starter, critical thinking, analytical thinking, result oriented, quick learner, less than 2 years’ experience
  • One year designing, developing or developing automotive electrical components and systems with a focus on Connected Car system along with multimedia and infotainment experience
  • Bachelor Degree in Computer science, Electrical Engineering

Telematics Validation Engineer Description:

  • Responsible for the evaluation of a North America Telematics system for all Hyundai & KIA vehicles. This will include conducting studies/clinics, evaluating competitive systems, reviewing specifications and troubleshooting the vehicle sub-system interactions
  • Participate in and/or conduct design reviews that include requirements development, system/component specifications, analysis/modeling, design, verification and validation
  • Provide progress reports during entire product development process
  • Knowledge of feature set when evaluating integration and partitioning studies for future systems
  • Experience with developing, completing and evaluating FMEA’s and DV/PV plans
  • Work with the design team, manufacturing and other relative groups within Hyundai/Kia
  • Work with the supply base to answer questions pertaining to requirements, specifications, performance data and defect analysis
