Our client is a leading logistics provider to the manufacturing and distribution communities. They are looking to add an experienced and innovative Vice President of Sales & Marketing to their team. The VP of Sales & Marketing will be responsible for developing strategic sales plans based on company goals that will promote sales growth and customer satisfaction for the organization while also developing marketing and service policies. 

Vice President of Sales & Marketing must have 7+ years of relevant experience in a sales and management role

VP of Sales & Marketing Requirements:

  • Customer focus
  • Must have a proven track record of 7+ experience in a sales/marketing senior leadership role across multiple industries, both nationally and internationally
  • Must be able to translate offline brand vision to the online channel and execute strategies that lead the company consistently towards that vision. Must mirror the values and positioning of the brand at all times
  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, sales and marketing or related field; MBA is highly desirable
  • Problem solving/analysis
  • Strategic thinking, must be able to set the strategic tone
  • Ability to look at the landscape of the industry and determine where to go
  • Results driven
  • Proven leadership skills
  • Communication and presentation proficiency
  • This position requires up to 25-30% travel

VP of Sales & Marketing Description:

  • The Vice President, Sales & Marketing is responsible for establishing the sales targets to meet the company objectives
  • Responsible for developing strategic sales plans based on company goals that will promote sales growth and customer satisfaction for the organization
  • This position is also responsible for developing marketing and service policies, programs and systems to support strategic direction and aligning business plans with organizational objectives
  • Partners with management team to ensure the best possible service and effective communications to company customers
  • Develop and implement annual strategic sales and marketing plan in support of organization strategy and objectives
  • Ensure communications are coordinated, support sales plan objectives and meet organizational expenditure requirements 
  • Recommend sales strategies for improvement based on market research and competitor analyses
  • Build, develop and manage sales team capable of carrying out needed sales and service initiatives to deliver profitable growth
  • Ensure marketing communications are coordinated, support marketing plan objectives 
  • Provide leadership in the development of joint ventures, affiliations and partnership arrangements
  • Oversee and direct market research, competitor analyses and customer service and retention monitoring processes and initiatives
  • Put in place infrastructure and systems to support the success of the sales function
  • Provide detailed and accurate sales forecasting
  • Identify problems and pass them to the Operations team
