Summary:

Our client is a leading manufacturer and supplier of powertrain, body and chassis products, and in-vehicle entertainment and navigation systems company who is looking to add an experienced and professional Account Manager to their team. As an Account Manager, they will be the liaison between customers, plants and affiliate personnel to negotiate complex issues.

The Account Manager must have 3-7 years of experience in account management roles within the automotive industry.

Account Manager Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or related area, plus a minimum of three - seven years’ experience in a related position, or equivalent 
  • Written, verbal, and cross-cultural communication skills
  • Computer literate, especially in Microsoft Office programs
  • Prior sales experience with FCA and/or GM

Account Manager Description:

  • Under limited supervision, acts as a liaison between customers, plants and affiliate personnel in managing daily commercial issues, and coordinates and manages application engineering projects
  • Functions as contact person for customer engineers and buyers to negotiate complex issues 
  • Performs and/or reviews product planning, testing, and analysis activities 
  • Evaluates issues and provides resolution and handles more complex test situations
  • Prepares and delivers complex technical reports and presentations 
  • Reviews and makes judgments on customer warranty data 
  • Identifies future business opportunities and potential risks 
  • Investigates competitor products and makes conclusions on the findings
