Application Engineer

Our client is a global automotive supplier and a leading manufacturer of on-board networks protection solutions and fluid transfer tubing. They are looking to add an Application Engineer to their team who will be responsible for interfacing with internal and external customers to ensure on time delivery and satisfaction, ensuring math models and drawings, and program specific specs are met, and upholding company’s standards.

Application Engineer must have experience with fuel related products

Application Engineer Requirements:

  • Eager to learn and grow within the company; mature
  • Experience working with fuel lines or fuel related products
  • CAD experience or knowledge; preferably CREO
  • Willingness to offer new ideas; innovative
  • Passport, ability to travel to France and Mexico

Application Engineer Description:                                           

  • Ensure on time delivery to both internal and external customers
  • Cost avoidance/budget compliance (assist finding best value components). Direct customers to Delfingen’s standard size tubing where applicable
  • Meet or exceed all deadlines – RFQ information such as component part numbers in a timely matter, prototypes, DV/PV Test Plans for France Lab Manager
  • Interface with internal and external customers, written and verbally. Most importantly obtain MAT spec approval from GM and Ford
  • Lead/support in the creation of RFQ including provide component numbers and description to Purchasing for serial production quoting purposes
  • Provide initial PPT presentation per RFQ for quoting purposes
  • Ensure all math models and drawings are at the latest with all essential information
  • Ensure all program specific specs are the latest releases
  • Provide DV/PV Plans as per agreed upon with customers and internal Lab Managers
  • Submit DV/PV test results to customer
  • Visit customers and suppliers
  • Submit all information; 3D models, drawings, presentations and issues log to the G drive specific assigned Project Number
  • Ability to put together BOM’s to build RFQ’s and ensure the right specifications are met
  • Submit component requests for Purchase Orders used for Prototypes
