Job Description

Research Scientist – Director of Business Development



Our client builds intelligent systems for defense, government, and commercial applications that emulate human decision making to enhance user and they are looking to add an experienced Research Scientist to their team. As a Research Scientist, they will be responsible for identifying and developing new business opportunities with government customers and private sector partners in one of the following focuses: Cybersecurity, Intelligent Training, and Unmanned Platforms

The Research Scientist must have 10 years of R&D experience in at least one of the following: AI, Cybersecurity, Unmanned Platforms, or Intelligent Training 

Research Scientist Requirements:

  • Successful proposal and bidding experience in the DOD industry
  • M.S. or Ph.D. in technical field such as computer science, mathematics or electrical engineering
  • Eligible for TS/SCI security clearance
  • Deep technical knowledge of cybersecurity strategies and/or artificial intelligence

Research Scientist Description:

  • Identify and build relationships with key decision-makers at all levels within client and partner organizations
  • Create demand our client’s DOD capabilities and influence their goals to respond to new opportunities
  • Leverage extensive private and public-sector network to identify partnering opportunities
  • Support and collaborate with others, both within and outside out client to develop successful research and development proposals for external funding that align with their strategic direction
