Electrical Engineer
Saline, MI

Summary:

Our client is looking to add an Electrical Engineer that can lead (or participate in) cross-functional teams in the development of commercial products in a cradle-to-grave environment. The Electrical Engineer will ideally have cradle to grave instrument development, and experience with designing low/mid-volume products.

The Electrical Engineer must have hands on circuit and board design experience.

Electrical Engineer Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical or other related engineering fields
• 5+ years’ experience in electrical/electronic design (both analog and digital)
• Extensive experience in troubleshooting electrical and hardware issues
• Proficiency with industry standard PCB design tools
• Familiar with selecting components, creating PCB layouts, characterizing and debugging circuits
• Excellent organizational skills, with ability to multi-task and self-manage time and priorities

Knowledge and experience in the following areas are considerable advantages:

• Understanding of underlying physics for gas and particle analyzers
• Experience with pressure, temperature, and flow sensors
• Project management skills and experience with tools, such as MS Project

Electrical Engineer Description:

• Design of analog and digital circuits for microprocessor and microcontroller platforms with I2C, SPI, UART communications
• Design ADC, DAC, and amplifier circuits
• Produce detailed schematics and PCB layouts
• Implement/breadboard prototype design
• Verify design operation and functionality; Design and conduct experimental tests to evaluate products
• Select electrical components; reduce cost for volume production
• Support current products. Diagnose and troubleshoot electrical components as necessary
• Generate test stands for manufacturing
• Interfacing with internal PCB manufacturing team
• Interfacing with software team for firmware development
• Support for manufacturing, service, and purchasing departments
