Electrical Technician
Ann Arbor, MI


Our client provides an extensive array of instruments and systems for applications ranging from automotive R&D to a broad range of scientific R&D and QC measurements. They are looking to add an experienced and professional Electrical Technician to their team. The Electrical Technician will install, maintain and repair supplied testing equipment at customer sites. This position requires knowledge in electronics repair, electronic testing equipment, and large capital equipment.

The Electrical Technician must have a strong electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic background with knowledge of schematics and troubleshooting experience

Electrical Technician Requirements:

  • Associates degree in Electronics preferred
  • Must be able to troubleshoot to component level
  • Must have hands on experience and excellent customer service skills
  • Must be able to travel

Electrical Technician Responsibilities:

  • Scheduled weekly, usually leaving Monday and coming back on a Friday
  • Three different levels: install of new product, annual preventative maintenance (majority of the work), break down repair
  • Majority of time is commissioning or maintaining, replacing for wear and tear, filters, o-rings, using analyzers, etc.
  • Mechanical part is relatively easy, schematics and flow diagrams more challenging
