Mechanical Drafter
Rochester Hills, MI


Our client is a growing company who specializes in turn-key robotic and control solutions. They are looking to add a Mechanical Drafter to their team to design mechanical packages, machine tooling, and equipment, as it relates to painting and dispense automation.

Mechanical Drafter must have at least 3+ years of experience designing automated equipment, machine tooling, and mechanical packages

Mechanical Drafter Requirements:

  • 3-5 years’ experience drafting machining, machine tooling, and automotive fixtures related to fluid dynamics
  • Ability to read, create, and understand mechanical prints
  • Experience with AutoCAD, Solidworks, or Inventor is preferred
  • Solid communication skills with the ability to work cross functionally
  • Understanding NEC codes is high preferred

Mechanical Drafter Description:

  • Design mechanical drawing packages and understanding of fluid dynamics and principles behind it
  • Research and request procurement of equipment
  • Implement Red-lines and ensure they are complete in a timely manner for customer delivery
  • Resolve technical issues that arise during debug and system start-up
  • Coordinate activities with Electrical Engineering and Controls Engineering to ensure equipment functionality
  • Participate in equipment training to become technical Subject Matter Expert
