Our client is a growing company who is looking to add an experienced and professional Payroll Specialist. The Payroll Specialist will be critical to the business’s transformation into a much larger industry presence. This role will serve as part of the backbone to the existing human resources team, which is currently streamlining processes and responding quicker to the voice of the customer

Payroll Specialist must have 5+ years of Payroll experience

Payroll Specialist Requirements:

  • Strong thinker with good judgment and assertiveness to voice continuous improvement ideas
  • Continuous learner of business and new methodologies / practices to accomplish goals
  • Self-disciplined with a high sense of urgency to be a collaborative business partner
  • Ability to act with discretion and maintain confidentiality
  • Proven relationship-building and problem-solving skills to provide customers with value-added support
  • Ability to work with various teams as well as independently
  • Payroll processing experience required with ADP Workforce Now Payroll processing is preferred
  • Experience with fixed and variable compensation
  • Payroll processing experience with hourly to executive level employees in a 250+ employee size company
  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field such as HR, Business or equivalent education and experience
  • Experience with HRIS systems in an audited environment is preferred
  • Experience with Ascentis HRIS is an advantage
  • Working proficiency in the following MS Office Products: Word, Excel, and PowerPoint is required. MS Access knowledge is a candidate advantage
  • Attention to detail; ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced, results-oriented environment

 Payroll specialist Description:

  • Responsible for the preparation and processing of all payroll cycles for multiple companies in multi-state jurisdiction
  • Act as liaison between business process owners and technical vendor support for Ascentis HRIS and ADP Payroll
  • Responsible for the preparation and processing of all Ascentis Human Resources Information Systems for multiple companies in a multi-state jurisdiction
  • Develop standard HR data processes and builds/maintains supporting training materials
  • Assist with headcount and recruiting activity reports
  • Create reports, slides, charts, as part of HR Analytics
  • Assist with developing and deploying company’s compensation strategy for all levels of the organizations
