Product Engineer II
Acworth, GA


Our client is a growing company who is one of the world’s biggest providers of vehicle roof systems for the major OEM’s in the automotive industry. They are looking to add a Product Engineer II to develop new or improved designs for automotive sunroof modules and roof systems, interface with BMW as the main customer, and mentor a younger team of engineers.

Product Engineer must have 4+ years’ project management experience designing automotive mechanisms with various materials

Product Engineer Requirements:

  • Must have at least 4 years of automotive related design experience
  • Project management experience; following projects from cradle to grave
  • Problem solving skills; root cause analysis
  • Customer interface experience; excellent communication skills
  • Experience designing mechanisms and/or products with multiple moving parts and various materials
  • CAD experience; preferably Solidworks and/or CATIA

Product Engineer Description:

  • Interact with BMW as main customer and communicate program updates
  • Oversee the engineering design and change process
  • Support manufacturing and quality with plant build issues and root cause analysis
  • Support cost reduction and Kaizen activities as appropriate
  • Drive new program launches to meet cost/timing/quality deliverables
