Protection Systems Industrialization Engineer
Niagara Falls, NY

Summary:

Our client is a global automotive supplier and a leading manufacturer of on-board networks protection solutions and fluid transfer tubing. They are looking to add an experienced Protection Systems Industrialization Engineer to their team who will be responsible for designing new specialty equipment from cradle to grave.

Protection Systems Industrialization Engineer must have electrical knowledge of machines

Industrialization Engineer Requirements:

  • Bachelor of Science, Engineering- Mechanical or Textile Process
  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience in specialty machine design and building
  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience in project management
  • Strong communication skills- strong decision making abilities
  • Special machines- cutting, industrial equipment and processes
  • Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP)
  • ISO 9001, TS16949 and IATF 16949
  • Ability to read and analyze mechanical drawings
  • Project Management skills
  • Very strong CAD designing experience – CREO, CATIA, NX
  • FMEA, Risk analysis, Function analysis, capability studies
  • Strong problem solving methods
  • Abilities in organizing, planning, and managing a team

Industrialization Engineer Description:

  • Abilities to analyze the RFQ’s feasibility, establish and validate the specs, analyze risks and drive and support his team to do the design and process and define the project development milestones
  • Ensure the follow-up of the project from the initial phase up to mass production ramp up, through each phase of the development procedures
  • Coordinate mock up, prototypes realization; follow the process validation and qualification phases
  • Design (CAD drawing) new specialty equipment, build or make it build by subcontractor
  • Coordinate resources and work to deliver high quality products to our customers on time and within the forecasted budget
  • Provide all the necessary information to his/her team and make sure they are registered
  • Provide all the necessary documentations associated with new processes and/or new equipment to dedicated facility (worldwide based) per APQP system and internal procedures
  • Responsible for the optimization of the costs, the lead times, and the reach of the technical performances
  • Coordinate new process patent search and development related to his/her work
  • Initiate and follow the RETEX (Return on Experience)
  • Is careful to confidentiality of information and the company’s industrial property (NDA)
  • Make sure safety rules are respected towards his/her colleagues and that his/her team respects them
  • Integrate CE regulations when developing new specialty equipment
  • Submit opportunities for improvement to the highest management level necessary to obtain reasonable responses and satisfactory results
