Quality Technician 
Southfield, MI


Our client is an international leader in the design and manufacturing of gas pressure controls, regulators and electronic gas modulation systems who is looking to add a professional and experienced Quality Technician to their team. The Quality Technician will provide assistance in manufacturing and assembly process development.  

The Quality Technician must have knowledge of manufacturing processes and equipment and experience in a quality role within production. 

Quality Technician Requirements:

  • 1-2 years equipment design knowledge and implementation
  • Experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Strong troubleshooting skills.
  • Exhibit a strong team player focus
  • Excellent computer skills (including, but not limited to: SolidWorks, AUTOCAD, MS Office, Visio, etc.)
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills are important as work with staff at various levels is required
  • Working knowledge of standard quality tools such as 5S, Kaizen, and Lean manufacturing principals
  • Must be able to work independently, and proactively
  • Some travel is required

Electrical Engineering Technician Description:

  • Work with multiple departments to evaluate, design, and develop new equipment.
  • Support equipment through installation, start-up, and continuous improvement.
  • Validate and approve new equipment before handing off to production.
  • Perform tolerance analysis to verify design feasibility.
  • Monitor equipment performance and suggest improvements.
  • Maintain documentation for equipment installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting procedures for reference purposes.
  • Communicate and deal with suppliers especially when issues arise.
  • Develop cost-reduction initiatives while still maintaining quality and productivity.
  • Provide job assistance and conduct job trainings for employees as needed.
  • Act as primary contact for equipment performance related questions or concerns.
  • Assist in maintaining manufacturing process development (control plans, work instructions, process flows, assembly instructions, etc.) Perform other testing and evaluation projects as directed.
