Transmission Engineer

Our client is a growing transmission consulting firm looking to add an experienced and professional Sr. Engineer to the team. The Sr. Engineer would work with clients to ensure the successful technical execution of transmission projects. The would include the design and analysis of automotive transmission systems and components, such as complex housings, gears, shafts, valve bodies, actuator systems, clutch systems, etc.

Looking for a well rounded engineer with design experience or a designer looking to be challenged in engineering.

Sr. Engineer Requirements:

  • 5 years of automotive transmission design and or analysis with technical responsibility of product
  • High standard of competency in transmission design & CAE analysis
  • Experience of the design and analytical requirements of various transmission architectures
  • Knowledge of a transmission design analysis package (MASTA, Romax, Kissoft)
  • Bachelor degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field

Sr. Engineer Description:

  • Ability to determine innovative solutions to the numerous design challenges which present themselves during a typical design project
  • Technical responsibility for design projects of a broad variety in both content and value – responsibility dependent on level of experience
  • Actively solve difficult engineering problems with CAE tools, FEA / dynamic modeling / 3D multi-body
  • CAD design experience preferred using any of Pro-E, Inventor, CATIA, UG NX to detail design and drawing
  • Technical and commercial management of projects
  • Maintenance of customer relationships
  • Component or system design analysis (hand calculation and design analysis software).
  • Presentation and communication of technical design elements to client companies
  • Compliance with Drive System Design processes and quality standards
