Supplier Quality Development Engineer II
Auburn Hills, MI


Our client is one of the world's largest providers of vehicle roof systems including design, development and manufacturing of sunroofs and open roof systems for the major OEM's in the automotive industry. My client is looking to add a Supplier Quality Development Engineer II to their team. 

Supplier Quality Development Engineer II must have 2+ years in supplier quality within the automotive industry

Supplier Quality Development Engineer II Requirements:

  • Must have at least 2 years of hands-on automotive related supplier quality experience
  • Intimate knowledge of PPAP, PFMEA, APQP, and ISO 14001/ TS16949
  • Problem solving skills; root cause analysis
  • Customer interface experience; excellent communication skills
  • Experience/exposure to mechanisms and movable parts consisting of variety of materials is a plus

Supplier Quality Development Engineer Description:

  • Plan and direct activities both internally and at suppliers associated with the development, construction and verification of production
  • Support production by pointing out improvement opportunities in the production line and the supply chain
  • Facilitate root cause analysis and corrective actions of supplier quality issues
  • Develop supplier team relationships to work in release of new programs as well as resolve current product issues
  • Conduct audits, evaluate performance, develop action plans and provide recommendations to improve quality performance at suppliers
