Our client is a leading manufacturer and supplier of powertrain, body and chassis products, and in-vehicle entertainment and navigation systems company who is looking to add an experienced and professional Test Technician to their team. The Test Technician will primarily be working on vehicle entertainment and infotainment projects with a heavy emphasis on electrical components.

The Test Technician must have 3+ years of professional experience of soldering and troubleshooting electrical equipment in the Automotive Industry.

Test Technician Requirements:

  • Associates Degree in Electronics and/or 2 of relevant work experience
  • Good soldering skills for modification and repairs to PCB’s
  • Set up operation and maintenance of laptops and SW apps and learning general operation of some apps
  • Support customer plant issues and SW reflash activities
  • Troubleshoot HW failures and implement repairs
  • Experience using multimeter and oscilloscope
  • Create, modify and repair wire harnesses/cables

Test Technician Description:

  • Anywhere from cleaning the lab to troubleshooting PCB’s to updating vehicles (teardown of wires/components/harnesses/etc.)
  • 25% will be focused on the full body vehicle; 75% will be spent on electrical components and testing
  • Primarily working on vehicle entertainment and infotainment projects but assisting other departments as needed
